Parent-teacher meetings

The Meetings module organises meetings between families and teachers as bookable time slots.

Creating a session

A meeting session is created by the school administration (school admin or headteacher) with:

  • a session name,
  • a single date,
  • a start time and an end time,
  • a duration per slot (in minutes),
  • the list of teachers involved — each one gets their own schedule of slots.

There is no targeting by class and no multi-day period: a session corresponds to a single date, over a single time range.

Once created, the session must be opened for booking so that parents can book an appointment.

No sessions?

Until a session has been created, the session list displays an empty state.

Parent view — My meetings

Parents book their slots from the My meetings page: they pick a teacher, an available slot, then confirm. An existing booking can be cancelled from the same page.

Teacher view

Once a session is open, the teacher can see the slots that concern them: appointments booked by families and slots still available.
