Work placement tracking
The Placements module manages pupils’ work placement periods: host organisation, agreement, and progress.
Placement status
Each placement progresses through the following statuses:
- Planned: the placement is scheduled but the agreement has not yet been signed.
- Agreement signed: the agreement has been validated by all parties.
- In progress: the placement period is under way.
- Completed: the placement has ended.
- Cancelled: the placement did not take place.
The placement record
The record brings together the pupil concerned, the host organisation, the dates, and the current status. It is from this record that the placement is advanced from one status to the next.
Best practices
- Only mark Agreement signed once the document has actually been validated by all parties.
- Close completed placements: an up-to-date log makes management and statistics much easier.
