Understanding multi-school

Schoolysoft is a multi-tenant platform: each school (tenant) has a fully isolated space. Your data is never accessible to other schools.

What this means for you

  • Full isolation: your school’s students, grades, invoices and documents are visible only to your users.
  • Sub-domain access: your school is reached via a specific URL or by your school’s name at login.
  • Independent configuration: settings (language, active modules, pricing) are specific to each school.

Your school identifier (slug)

When your school is created, a unique identifier (slug) is generated from its name, using lowercase letters, digits and hyphens only (e.g. lycee-saint-pierre). It appears in your space’s URL: app.schoolysoft.com/lycee-saint-pierre/....

This slug is not shown anywhere in the Settings screens and cannot be changed after creation: look for it directly in your browser’s address bar.

Several schools: the multi-site account

A head running several schools can have a single account with access to multiple tenants:

  1. Log in normally.
  2. Top right, click the active school’s name.
  3. Select another school from the list.

Roles may differ per school (e.g. Head in one, Administrator in another).

Schoolysoft Super Admin

Schoolysoft Super Admins have access to all schools for technical-support reasons. All their actions are recorded in the audit log. They cannot access pedagogical content or students’ personal data without a justified reason.
