Payment methods

Schoolysoft offers three online payment options, configurable from Settings → Payment methods. You can enable several options at the same time.

Stripe

For France, Europe and other zones covered by Stripe:

  1. Settings → Payment methods → Stripe configuration.
  2. Enter your publishable key, your secret key and your webhook secret (available from your Stripe dashboard).
  3. Click Test connection to verify the keys are valid.
  4. Click Save.

The webhook URL to enter on the Stripe side is shown read-only on this page. Once configured and enabled, “Stripe enabled” is displayed and parents see a Pay with Stripe button on their invoices (card payment, secure redirect to Stripe).

Flutterwave

For Sub-Saharan Africa, available only with the Africa option enabled on your subscription:

  1. Settings → Payment methods → Flutterwave configuration.
  2. Enter your public key and your secret key.
  3. Enable the Mobile Money methods you want to offer: Wave, Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money, Moov Money.
  4. Click Test connection, then Save.

Parents see a Pay with Flutterwave button (redirect to Flutterwave to pay via Mobile Money or card).

External link

For zones not covered by Stripe or Flutterwave (Morocco, Middle East, etc.), use the External link tab:

  1. Settings → Payment methods → External link.
  2. Enter the URL of your payment platform (your bank’s or local provider’s).
  3. Save.

On the parent side, a generic Pay via external platform button is shown on the invoice and redirects to the configured URL. There is no provider logo or per-country configuration beyond this single URL.

Payment reconciliation

With Stripe and Flutterwave, the invoice automatically moves to Paid (or Partially paid) status as soon as the payment confirmation is received — you don’t need to do anything.

With the external link, there is no automatic reconciliation: once the payment is received in your external account, record it manually from the relevant invoice’s detail page, via Record a payment (see Managing invoices).

Frequently asked questions

Does Schoolysoft charge a commission on parents’ payments? No. The money goes directly to your account with the provider you configure (Stripe or Flutterwave) or to the external platform you set up. You pay only your Schoolysoft subscription and your payment provider’s fees, if any.

Can I enable several payment methods at the same time? Yes. You can, for example, enable Stripe and the external link at the same time; the parent then chooses whichever button they prefer on their invoice.
