Price schedule: principles
The price schedule defines what the institution charges: tuition fees, options, services. It forms the basis for family billing.
Products and schedules
- A product is a billable item (for example: tuition fees, canteen, transport). It has a label, a billing frequency and, where applicable, a specific VAT rate.
- A price schedule brings together the applicable pricing lines for a given academic year.
Mandatory or optional lines
Each line in a schedule has a type:
- Mandatory: automatically applied to the pupil concerned.
- Optional: applied only if the family subscribes to the service.
- Conditional: applied according to specific conditions (level, situation, etc.).
Best practices
- Check the academic year of the schedule before using it: a schedule is tied to one year.
- Clearly distinguish between mandatory and optional: this determines what will be billed automatically.
